About this service
The Community Employment & Skills Support service provides practical, person-centred support to help local residents move towards employment, training and greater financial independence. Residents can receive one-to-one guidance based on their individual circumstances, including help identifying suitable employment opportunities, preparing applications, improving CVs and cover letters, developing interview confidence, and exploring appropriate training or skills-development opportunities. The service also supports people who may have been out of work for an extended period or who face additional barriers to employment. Where appropriate, residents can be connected with other local organisations and specialist services that may be able to provide additional support. The aim is not simply to help someone find a vacancy, but to help them identify realistic next steps and access the wider support they may need to move forward with confidence. Who is this service for?
